After our amazing Mexico City adventure of 17 gigs in 15 days, we then played ten shows in Japan. We are now back in London with a new gigging concept.

After our amazing Mexico City adventure of 17 gigs in 15 days in November, we then played at Harringay’s Jam In A Jar’s New Year’s Eve show before heading off to Tokyo through January and February. There we played ten shows, opened up a whole bunch of venues to play next time we are there, and made contact with a few promoters.
The highlight of it all came on Friday February 6 when we were special guests on a six band punk rock bill at the prestigious venue Rokudemonai – this essentially translates as, ‘Ain’t nothin’ but…rock.’
Maja speaks fluent Japanese which really carried us through Tokyo, while Mark speaks Spanish, so he took the lead in Mexico. Not least during our 45 minute feature radio interview and live session appearance on Mexico’s national Reactor where we were interviewed by the wonderful celebrity interviewer Maria Letona. We also headlined a six band heavy metal bill at the prestigious Pata Negra the heart of Mexico City.
Following our return to London, we now begin again here at Werewolf in Camden Town on Easter Monday April 6 from 2pm with a whole new gigging concept for The Diaries. We are playing all three sets ourselves. This will be an explosive afternoon of original acoustic rockpop with a punk attitude and an 80s vibe. In between sets we will be blasting out songs from our favourite bands and influences, and a cheeky one or two of our own recorded tracks.
While we are here, we should mention that our Mexico manager is Richard from Los Ekis. We are very privileged to be working with such an amazing person.

Who Are We?
We are Mark and Maja
We play explosive and hugely catchy acoustic rockpop with a punk attitude and an 80s vibe.
We write songs and tour and write about our experiences in The Diaries.
And here is our debut book, Music, Love and Impossibilities. You can order it from us from our store.

Taking place in early 2021 and told with day to day diary entries, at times the book reads like a suspense thriller as it covers our wildly eventful first three months together.
All of our subsequent adventures have been written in the same style as the story continues to this day making this the first in a proposed series. There is already enough for a further two or three books and counting.
What follows next is our move to rural Ireland, two European tours, extensive playing around Ireland, and the move to London. Then a Mexican tour managed by Richard from Los Ekis, during 2025. We have played well over a hundred shows and, among other things, are planning to tour Japan during 2026 with Maja being fluent in Japanese.
